Manufacturer's Warranty

Here are the warranty conditions for Britax Römer products

Britax Römer Kindersicherheit GmbH

Britax Römer Kindersicherheit GmbH is a manufacturer and supplier of 

Britax Römer branded car seats, pushchairs, bike seats and accessories (hereinafter referred to as “products”), which are covered by a warranty under the following conditions:


  1. The manufacturer’s warranty period is 24 months from the date of purchase indicated on the proof of purchase. The remainder of the original product warranty applies to both the replaced component or product and the repaired product.
  2. This manufacturer’s warranty is only valid in the country in which the product was purchased. Britax Römer warrants that the product will comply with the laws and/or regulations applicable only in the country in which the product is sold.

  3. The manufacturer’s warranty provides the right to repair a defective product unless, in the opinion of Britax Römer, it is necessary to replace or return the product.

 Britax Römer bears the costs and risks of transport from and to the retailer (hereinafter referred to as “retailer”) from whom the product was purchased, provided that the repair is covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

  4. In order to benefit from the manufacturer’s warranty, the following documents must be provided to Britax Römer:
  • a copy of the proof of purchase with the date of purchase,


  • a clear and comprehensible description of the defect and
  • 

the defective product and/or photographs of the defective part or product.
  1. The manufacturer’s warranty is non-transferable and therefore only the first purchaser can benefit from it.
  2. The manufacturer’s warranty does not affect in any way the statutory rights of the purchaser, for example the right to hold the seller liable for defects.
  3. What does the manufacturer’s warranty cover?
  • all manufacturing defects in the chassis, frame and wheels of the pushchair;


  • all manufacturing defects of the adapters (for frames and car seats);


  • zips;


  • all belt components in your Britax Römer pushchair;




  • all the safety features of your Britax Römer car seat;




  • seams in the upholstery;
  • Velcro.

The manufacturer’s warranty ceases to apply in the following events:

  • The occurrence of defects resulting from negligence or accident and/or from use or maintenance other than that indicated in the user manual.


  • Damage or deletion of the product serial number.


  • Damage to the product caused by normal wear and tear.


  • Incorrect assembly or installation of foreign parts incompatible with the product.


  • Accidental, unintentional damage, misuse or improper maintenance.

Improper storage.


  • Damage to handles or upholstery caused by normal day-to-day use of the product.


  • Holes and tears in tyres.


  • Damage resulting from misuse or failure to follow the user manual.


  • Damage caused by unauthorised repairs or improper disassembly of the product.


  • Transport damage (during transport by air or other means of transport): please inspect the Britax Römer product carefully after transport and if any damage is found, file a complaint with the carrier immediately.
  • 



Lack of customer satisfaction with the product in terms of fit, weight, functionality, colour or design

Important

The manufacturer’s warranty period for this product is 24 months from the date of purchase indicated on the proof of purchase. Keep your proof of purchase in a safe place and make a copy.
