PRIVACY POLICY effective as of 25.05.2018

1. This Privacy Policy sets out the rules for the processing of personal data obtained via the website concerning the ordering of warranty services as well as post-warranty services with regards to Britax Römer products:

(hereinafter: “Website”).



2. The Website owner and Data Controller at the same time is Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Warsaw (00-140), Al. Solidarności 117/207, entered in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, XII Commercial Division of the National Court Register under the KRS number 0000444605, with the share capital of PLN 10,000.00, Taxpayer Identification Number (NIP): 5252545753, National Business Register Number (REGON): 146447570 hereinafter referred to as Serwis MK Sp. z o.o.



3. Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. is particularly careful to respect the privacy of the Customers visiting the Website.

§ 1 How is data collected?


1. Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. collects information on natural persons performing a legal action not directly related to their activities, natural persons conducting a business or professional activity on their own behalf, and natural persons representing legal persons or organisational entities which are not legal persons to which the Act grants legal capacity, conducting a business or professional activity on their own behalf, hereinafter collectively referred to as the Customers.



2. The Customers’ personal data are collected in the event of:

a) registration of the warranty and post-warranty service request;

b) registration of a request for the receipt of Britax Römer branded goods at the Service;



c) use of the Contact tab for information purposes regarding the Company’s services



3. When registering a warranty and post-warranty service request on the Website, the Customer provides the following data:

a) full name;

b) email address;

c) telephone number;

d) address details:

1) street including house/apartment number;

2) postcode and place.



4. When using the Contact tab on the Website, the Customer specifies:

a) email address.



5. For Entrepreneurs, the above scope of data is further extended to include:

a) the business name of the Entrepreneur;

b) the Taxpayer Identification Number (NIP).

§ 2 How the data collected is used?

1. If a warranty and post-warranty service request is made on the Website, Customer data is used to create and manage an individual service request report.



2. If you make a warranty and post-warranty service request on the Website, your personal data may be passed on to a courier company for collection and delivery of the claimed Britax Römer products.

§ 3 Cookie mechanism, IP address

1. The Website uses small files, known as cookies. They are saved by Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. on the computer of the person visiting the Website, if the Internet browser permits this. A cookie usually contains the name of the domain from which it originated, its “expiry time” and an individual random number identifying the cookie. Information collected using files of this type helps to adapt the services and functionalities offered by Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. to the individual preferences and actual needs of visitors to the Website. It also makes it possible to compile general statistics on visits to the services and functionalities presented on the Website.



2. Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. uses two types of cookies:

a) Session cookies: when the session of a particular browser ends or the computer is switched off, the stored information is deleted from the memory of the device. The mechanism of session cookies does not allow any personal data or any confidential information to be collected from the Customers’ computer.

b) Persistent cookies: these are stored in the memory of the Customer’s terminal device and remain there until they are deleted or expire. The mechanism of permanent cookies does not allow any personal data or any confidential information to be collected from the Customers’ computer.



3. Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. uses its own cookies for the following purposes:

a) analysis and research, as well as audience auditing, and in particular for the creation of anonymous statistics that help to understand how Customers use the Website, which enables it to improve its structure, functionality and content.



4. The cookie mechanism is safe for the computers of Website Customers. In particular, it is not possible for viruses or other unwanted software or malware to enter the Customers’ computers via this route. However, customers have the option in their browsers to restrict or disable access to cookies on their computers. If this option is used, the use of the Website will be possible, except for functions that by their nature require cookies.



5. Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. may collect Customers’ IP addresses. An IP address is a number assigned to the computer of a visitor to the Website by an internet service provider. The IP number allows access to the Internet. In most cases, it is assigned to a computer dynamically, i.e. it changes each time it connects to the Internet, and is therefore commonly treated as non-personal identifying information. The IP address is used by Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. for the purposes of diagnosing technical problems with the server, creating statistical analyses (e.g. determining from which regions the highest number of visits is recorded), as information useful for administering and improving the Website, as well as for security purposes and the possible identification of unwanted automatic programmes that overload the server for viewing the content of the Website.


§ 4 Personal data protection, data access and security

1. The controller of personal data of Customers who register their Britax Römer products for warranty and post-warranty service and who give consent to receive product information as part of the serviced

 Britax Römer products (hereinafter: the “Customer”) is Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Warsaw (00-140), Al. Solidarności 117/207, entered into the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court for the Capital City of Warsaw in Warsaw, XII Commercial Division of the National Court Register under the KRS number 0000444605, with the share capital of PLN 10,000.00, Taxpayer Identification Number (NIP): 5252545753, National Business Register Number (REGON): 146447570 (hereinafter: “Data Controller”).





2. The Data Controller processes the Customers’ personal data in particular in order to:

a) conclude a service agreement for comprehensive warranty and post-warranty service for Britax Römer products;



b) the provision of another service in the form of an exchange of technical information regarding technical problems reported by the Customer with regards to Britax Römer products;



c) the start of the process of collecting the product from the Customer to the Service and the return shipment of the product to the Customer after completion of the servicing process.



3. The processing of personal data is necessary for the performance of an agreement to which the data subject (Customer) is a party and is a contractual requirement and serves the purpose of providing the service.



4. Personal data collected by Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. via the Website is processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act of 29 August 1997 (Dz.U.2015.2135, consolidated text).



5. Only authorised employees of Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. have access to the Customers’ personal data collected via the Website.



6. Customers’ personal data may be communicated to other entities on the basis of legal provisions or the consent given by the Customer.



7. Any person whose personal data Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. processes has the right to:

a) request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure or restriction of processing or the right to object to processing, as well as the right to data portability;

b) withdraw consent to the processing of data at any time: this does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal, the request should be addressed to the address of the registered office of Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. or to the email address: dok@britax-roemer-service.pl;

c) lodge a complaint with the Inspector General for the Protection of Personal Data, ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw.

8. Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. protects the personal data provided to it and makes every effort to secure it against unauthorised access or use.

§ 5 Amendments to the Privacy Policy

1. The Privacy Policy is subject to change, of which Serwis MK Sp. z o.o. will inform the Customers 7 days in advance.
